Rio-Antirio bridge. Combining Monitoring And Modeling Data

Rio-Antirio bridge

INDUSTRIAL ECOLOGY APPROACHES

The Rio–Antirrio bridge -officially the Charilaos Trikoupis bridge after the statesman who first envisaged it-, is the world’s longest multi-span cable-stayed bridge. It crosses the Gulf of Corinth near Patras, linking the town of Rio on the Peloponnese to Antirrio on mainland Greece. The project herein is led by Enviroplan SA and deals with an overall assessment on the effects of the bridge to the close vicity in terms of noise, vibration and air pollution. ENVELab carries out the air pollution assessment by combining monitoring and modeling data.
